LS&M reserves 5.2 miles of the original railroad right-of-way into Duluth and operates vintage railroad equipment to let the passenger experience rail transportation as it was in the early to mid-19th century. The zoo has also worked with the Duluth Public Library system to make 15 passes available for check out from the library, each granting admission to the zoo for four people. The original LS&M built the first railroad into Duluth in the 1870s. LS&M reserves 5.2 miles of the original railroad right-of-way into Duluth and operates vintage railroad equipment to let the passenger experience rail transportation as it was in the early to mid-19th century. The zoo has also worked with the Duluth Public Library system to make 15 passes available for check out from the library, each granting admission to the zoo for four people.
