The GND REC Skate Jam is going to another level this year with professional skateboard team; Real Skateboarding on site to do demonstrations and sign autographs. The team is led by former skateboarder of the year Mason Silva along with Nicole Hause, and Toby Ryan. There will be a variety of contests for skateboarders of all skill levels. There will be food trucks; Room at the Table doing smash burgers and Gumbeaux Guys doing the greatest Cajun food in the Northland. Fran’s world famous hot fudge sundaes will also be available for purchase. The DTA (Chicago / Steely Dan tribute band) begins playing greatest hits at 4pm. This is free family friendly event. The Duluth Trails Festival is a celebration of mountain biking, trail running, and outdoor adventure! Formerly known as the Bike Duluth Festival, the event has been reintroduced under new leadership from Duluth DEVO Mountain Bike Program, with an expanded vision that emphasizes inclusivity, trail stewardship, and multi-sport participation. At its core, the festival highlights enduro and cross-country mountain bike racing alongside epic trail running events. Courses wind through demanding sections of iconic trails on and around Spirit Mountain in Duluth, MN. Participants will be challenged with technical descents and sustained climbs and rewarded with sweeping views of the St. Louis River and Lake Superior.
