Greyhound Cheer Day Camp

We’re excited to welcome athletes to our Greyhounds Cheer Day Camp! Please complete the online registration form to register your athlete. Camp cost includes camp instruction and cheer items based on grade level. K-3rd Grade Half Day is $40 (Class, T-shirt and Pom) 4th-9th Grade Full Day is $65 (Class, T-shirt, Pom, Bow) Pay it forward donations and scholarships are available for families who wish to help support another cheerleader. When: March 7, 2026 Where: Ordean Middle School Gym (2900 E. 4th ST.) Time: K-3rd 9am to 11am and 4th-9th 9am to 2pm. Two showcases: K-3rd Perform at 11am and 4th-9th Perform at 2pm. Nonprofit Super Bowl Mixer

From Neighborhood Youth Services: “Back by popular demand! Due to the success of the first nonprofit mixer, we’ve decided to put on a second one! With the Super Bowl about a month away, we’d like to invite all local nonprofits and community partners to our first annual Nonprofit Super Bowl Mixer! This event will be held at The Caddy Shack Indoor Golf & Pub on Feb. 8th, starting at 5pm through the end of the game. There will be food and drink specials for purchase, games, prizes and more! We definitely hope to see you there!”

January 30th 2pm-6pm: Stop by the health resource and vaccine clinic for your COVID and Flu vaccinations at 312 N. Central Ave. January 31st 12pm: Abominable will be showing for FREE at The West Theatre at 319 N. Central Ave. 12pm-4pm: Stop by Memorial Park for outdoor activities, including a bonfire and s’mores! 5315 Grand Ave. 3pm-7pm: Go skating at Spirit Mountain! BYO skates to 8551 Grand Ave. February 1st 11am: Join Zenith Bookstore and Children’s Author Chris Monroe for a free book reading and craft at 318 N. Woodland Winter Freeze Festival

Join the Duluth East Student Government at the Woodland Ice Rinks for a Minnesota Hockey Day celebration taking place on January 24th from 9am to 3:30 pm! There will be free hot chocolate and s’more roasting, as well as various other winter activities. Build a snowman, do some crafts, decorate a cookie, and even compete in trivia! If that’s not enough, bring some skates and celebrate our strong hockey community here in Duluth by making use of some free skate time or support our Duluth Northern Stars girls hockey team in their traditional Minnesota Hockey Day scrimmage against the Proctor/Hermantown Mirage team! Finally, make a bid for a chance to win a basket full of goodies including some from your favorite local businesses in our silent auction. Park Point 5-Miler & 2-Mile Walk

Holding the crown as northern Minnesota’s oldest road race, the Park Point 5-Miler & 2-Mile Walk starts and finishes near the Park Point Pavilion in Duluth, MN. A picturesque course sandwiched between the open water of Lake Superior and the Duluth Harbor, this event offers a perfect mid-summer option for runners and walkers alike. The 5-Miler is a more competitive running field but is now preceded by a 2-Mile Walk, which encourages people of all ages and abilities to come out and enjoy Duluth’s Park Point. This is the last of three races involved in the annual KP Challenge, in which participants commit to three races throughout the spring and summer. The others are the Saint Fennessy 4K and Fitger’s 5K, with the aim to help participants keep on a regular training schedule and consistently complete longer distance races.
