Hosted by the Duluth Public Library Storytime ho! Climb aboard the William A. Irvin historical ship for a special storytime! We’ll meet on the top deck for stories, songs, and rhymes at 9:30am, followed by time for families to explore the ship. For kids pre-K – grade 3 with their caregivers. Due to its historical nature as a retired freighter, the Irvin is not ADA accessible and includes multiple staircases to access certain locations. No strollers or wagons please. The top deck has minimal barriers, children must be monitored at all times. When you register, please indicate how many people will be in your group. Ship deck capacity is 130 people. Parking will be free for this event in the DECC parking lot across from the ship. Monday, June 22, 2026 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Explore and be inspired while forest bathing at the Lake Superior Zoo. Different from a nature hike, being fully in the present moment gently awakens awe and discovery. Technology is set aside to plug into the healing and calming power of nature. During the 2 hour session a series of guided invitations are intermixed with walking slowly, sitting in silence, mindfully observing nature, and sharing what is witnessed. There is a mix of solo and group time. The session concludes with tea and light snacks. Return home to your place of belonging as part of what is wonderfully wild. $40 per person, or $70 for one youth and accompanying adult. Pre-registration with payment required.

Join us for a night of laughter, learning, and libations as Science Riot brings its uproarious, in-person comedy show to the Zenith City! After surviving a crash course in comedy, local scientists trade their microscopes for the microphone and deliver hilarious takes and serious insights into their real-life work. Whether you’re a science nerd or just love a good laugh, this is the place to learn the weird and wild secrets of science! Science Riot is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that teaches scientists how to do public outreach through standup-style comedy about their field of expertise.
