Trick-or-Trot at North Country Ride Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025 Time: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Location: North Country Ride (180 Hatinen Road, Esko, MN 55733) Saddle up for a spook-tacular afternoon of fall fun at Trick-or-Trot, hosted by the Duluth Children’s Museum and North Country Ride! Families are invited to enjoy festive activities, sweet treats, and plenty of Halloween magic in a horse-themed setting. Activities Include: Horses in Costumes Obstacle Course with Hobby Horses Scavenger Hunt with prizes Halloween Carnival Games Costume Parade Face painting Treat giveaways at every station! Celebrate fall with us at our annual Pumpkin Festival! We’re turning the patio into a festive autumn hangout with fun for all ages, including: Pumpkin Painting — pumpkins will be available for purchase! Face painting for kids Dog costume parade Costume contest with prizes Photo booth and festive backdrops Live Music! A spooky end to our local racing calendar, the Superior Nightmare 5K brings with it plenty of scary surprises and haunted hijinks. Dress your best for this annual combination of Halloween and running, and be sure to enter our costume contest to decide the day’s best-dressed! All Superior Nightmare 5K adult participants will receive a commemorative full-zip jacket and all youth participants will receive a commemorative hooded sweatshirt, included with the entry fee. The Spider Dash Kids’ Races are FREE and open to all participants ages 14 & under. The kids’ races will start at 11:45 a.m., shortly after the conclusion of the main race. Know a kid who’s been sleeping in their costume and asking if they can wear it to the grocery store? This is for you. Family Jam is a family-friendly Halloween(ish) event that takes place before the taproom opens. Dan the Monkeyman will perform an interactive set for kids. There’ll be kid-friendly N/A beverages, ice cream, and snacks available for purchase. (Maybe even some candy too!) We’ll have cider and Birdie, too, for you. It’s free to attend. No registration is required. All ages are welcome. (Suggested age range 0-5 years old.) Costumes encouraged!

Ice Cream Should Be Cold, Your Neighbors Should NOT Be! Our annual winter clothing drive is coming up quick! On Thursday, October 23rd, stop in to our office or Life 97.3 at 1101 E. Central Entrance to drop off New or Gently used, Mittens, Hats, and Jackets for our local schools. Consider stopping into Twin Ports Trailer Trash on October 22nd from 8am – 4pm for free Mattress Drop-Offs along with the winter clothing drive! Donate and you will get some free ice cream! As we work closely with the local schools, all donation will be sorted and sent to the schools based on their needs! Help us keep our neighborhood warm this winter! We hope to see you there!
