Lake Superior Ice Festival

The Lake Superior Ice Festival is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration that brings together the entire community to embrace the magic of winter. Coordinated through the efforts of local organizations, volunteers, and partners, the festival showcases Superior’s unique charm and our shared love for the season. Our vision is to create an inclusive and welcoming experience that invites people of all ages and abilities to gather, explore, and enjoy the many wonders of winter in our beautiful lakeside city. From sparkling ice sculptures and outdoor activities to warm food and friendly faces, the Lake Superior Ice Festival is a joyful reminder of the resilience, creativity, and spirit that make Superior truly special.

While attendance at the Lake Superior Ice Festival is free, there are certain optional events that do have costs associated. We have noted each of those events on our event schedule and below:

• Food Vendors – food and beverages for sale at various prices
• Ice Racing – Admission fee
• Tournaments (Demos and learn to play are FREE):
