Wednesday Night at the Races: Esko

Our Wednesday Night at the Races series has become one of our most popular Young Athletes Foundation (YAF) programs! The Wednesday Night at the Races series is free and open to any child ages 14 & under. Whether it’s your child’s first-ever race or they’ve just fallen in love with running, we’d love to see them at our next event! The summer series starts in late July and continues throughout August, culminating in our last race of the year which includes a free shirt for every participant and year-end picnic for the kids and their families! 2026 Wednesday Night at the Races All races start at 6pm. July 22 — Hermantown July 29 — Superior & Esko August 5 — Proctor August 12 — Two Harbors & Hibbing August 19 — Lake Superior Zoo

North Shore Folklore

Our Siiviis Gallery summer exhibition, North Shore Folklore, is an exploration of the mysterious, unknown and intriguing in and around the North Shore. Do you know any tall tales of the Great Lakes, heard or invented; any inexplicable occurrences? Can you describe something intriguing or secret about the deep places in the world? How would you depict magic associated with being in or near big water? Please join us at our opening reception on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 2:00-5:00p. If you can’t join us on the opening day, don’t worry! It will be on display Saturday, July 11, 2026 – August 31, 2026.

Chester Bowl Fall Fest

Chester Bowl’s 42nd Annual Fall Fest is on Saturday, September 19th, 2026 from 9:30-4:30. Fall Fest is all about building community with friends and neighbors in the park! At this regional craft event you will enjoy music, food, crafts, locally grown fresh produce, vendors, and informational booths about local programs. This annual event hosts 135 vendors selling locally made crafts and art, a great line up of music, fifteen food trucks (if you go home hungry you are doing Fall Fest wrong), and activities for children and families. In addition, Chester Bowl branded clothing and other items are always sold at our tent just inside the front gate. Fall Fest is a fundraising event for Chester Bowl’s scholarship fund.
