Artist and author Sam Zimmerman / Zhaawanoogiizhik visits Split Rock Lighthouse to sign copies of his newest book, Walking My Ancestors’ Path: A Collection of Paintings and Stories, including Ojibwe translations by Manidoo Ma’iingan. Sam is a direct descendant of the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. His award-winning artwork has been widely exhibited. He lives in Duluth, Minnesota. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the museum shop.

Learn about mindfulness and how to incorporate it into your daily life with the Pruitt Center’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) virtual course. Open to UW-Superior students, employees and the community, this 8-week, evidence-based, program offers in-depth training in many different forms of mindfulness, from meditation to mindful eating, to gentle stretching and more.
