Pink Marlena & Peat Boggs

Peat Boggs is an eclectic quartet that plays an organic blend of groove, jazz, and twisted folk, shifting easily from smooth melodies to hints of doom and surf rock. Cole Webster shapes the band’s sound with gritty, expressive guitar. Ben Wagener holds down the low end with melodic, wigglin’ bass lines. Chris Shea drives the groove on drums and all things rhythm. Charlie French delivers murky yet reflective lyricism that weaves seamlessly through the band’s lush arrangements. Secret weapon Cavan Denning joins in on sweet, slippery pedal steel. Marlena Boedigheimer, a tenor saxophonist from Duluth, Minnesota, began playing at 14, inspired by Pete Rock & CL Smooth’s “T.R.O.Y.” Her passion for jazz grew through mentorship and high school jazz band participation. She pursued a Jazz Studies degree at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where personal struggles deepened her connection to music.
