The Build North Expo

Northland homeowners wanting to get an early start on turning their homebuilding and remodeling dreams into reality now have an exciting, new resource. The Build North Expo, created by the Arrowhead Builders Association, will connect homeowners with the region’s top design and building professionals March 12-14, 2026, at the Essentia Duluth Heritage Center in Lincoln Park.

Refresh your wardrobe without spending a dime! Join us for a fun, community-centered clothing swap where you can give new life to items you no longer wear and find pieces that feel brand new to you. How It Works: 5-5:30pm – Arrive, set up your items grab a drink or bite at Ritual Salad. 6pm – Swap begins (Late arrival is totally fine) 7:30pm – Wrap-up time What to Bring: Gently loved, clean clothing Shoes, boots, jewelry, hats & outerwear welcome No minimum required – bring what you can, take what you love All sizes, styles, and genders are welcome – the more variety the better! Any unclaimed items will be donated to Clothes That Work at the Damiano Safe Haven Shelter and The Center for Changing Lives, so nothing goes to waste. Bonus points: Bring an old cell phone to donate to Safe Haven for survivors of domestic violence….

From Neighborhood Youth Services: “Back by popular demand! Due to the success of the first nonprofit mixer, we’ve decided to put on a second one! With the Super Bowl about a month away, we’d like to invite all local nonprofits and community partners to our first annual Nonprofit Super Bowl Mixer! This event will be held at The Caddy Shack Indoor Golf & Pub on Feb. 8th, starting at 5pm through the end of the game. There will be food and drink specials for purchase, games, prizes and more! We definitely hope to see you there!”

Park Point 5-Miler & 2-Mile Walk

Holding the crown as northern Minnesota’s oldest road race, the Park Point 5-Miler & 2-Mile Walk starts and finishes near the Park Point Pavilion in Duluth, MN. A picturesque course sandwiched between the open water of Lake Superior and the Duluth Harbor, this event offers a perfect mid-summer option for runners and walkers alike. The 5-Miler is a more competitive running field but is now preceded by a 2-Mile Walk, which encourages people of all ages and abilities to come out and enjoy Duluth’s Park Point. This is the last of three races involved in the annual KP Challenge, in which participants commit to three races throughout the spring and summer. The others are the Saint Fennessy 4K and Fitger’s 5K, with the aim to help participants keep on a regular training schedule and consistently complete longer distance races.
