Join YWCA Duluth for the first of their Raising Voices Speaker Series — an event designed to amplify the voices of modern-day leaders who educate, organize, and inspire action. Their inaugural speaker is Duluth’s own Heather N. Wilde who not only authored Floyd’s Baller alongside Adarryl Hunter but also published this young adult novel. Heather will share the importance of writing this book at such a critical time in our history and an emcee-led conversation and Q&A with Rebeka Ndosi and Adarryl will offer deeper insight into the man behind the story. There will be hot beverages for everyone before and after the discussion and Adarryl and Heather will offer a book signing to close the night. YWCA Duluth merchandise and Floyd’s Baller books will be available for purchase.

Follow event signage. Registration is in person only and cut-off at 2:30PM, so the appraiser can finish appraisals by 3PM. Guests are called up in the order that they are registered. You may bring up to two items per person for an informal oral identification and evaluation of each antique. If the piece is too large or fragile to be hand-carried, clear photographs with a description of any marks and labels will be sufficient. Past participants have thoroughly enjoyed the appraiser’s comments on what is always an interesting…
