A great sporting experience is available in every corner of our city. Below are some of Duluth’s most well-known sports complexes.

Baseball

Duluth boasts a dozen baseball facilities. Here are three of the most well-known.

Bulldog Park, located next to James S. Malosky Stadium on the eastern edge of the University of Minnesota Duluth campus, is the home of the UMD Bulldog baseball team. Constructed in 1988, it boasts one of the top natural grass playing surfaces in the area.

First constructed in 1941 as a Works Progress Administration project, Wade Stadium went through major renovations in 2015, which saw a turf field installed to accommodate the facility’s heavy use by the Duluth Huskies, College of St. Scholastica Saints, and various high school baseball teams. The Wheeler Athletic Complex contains four softball fields and one baseball field tucked against the beautiful backdrop of the West Duluth skyline.

Basketball

Duluth and the surrounding area feature 24 indoor and outdoor basketball courts and facilities. Listed below are some of the available indoor venues:

Football

James S. Malosky Stadium is located on the University of Minnesota Duluth Campus, is home to the UMD Bulldogs Football Team and hosts the College of St. Scholastica Football Team

Ordean Field, located at 301 N 40th Ave. E, is home to the Duluth East High School Greyhounds. For information on renting the facilities, contact the activities office of East High School at (218) 336-8845 extension 2151.

Public Schools Stadium, located at 4405 W 4th St.,  is home to the Duluth Denfeld High School Hunters. For information on renting the facilities, contact the activities director of Duluth Denfeld High School at (218) 336-8820 x 1948.

Golf

Hockey

Essentia Health Duluth Heritage Sports Center features two rinks and modern facilities.

Duluth Entertainment Convention Center features two rinks as well as the new AMSOIL Arena, which features many modern amenities and fan comforts.

MARS Lakeview Arena is a privately owned and operated ice skating arena in east Duluth.

OUTDOOR SPORTS COURTS

Duluth Parks & Recreation offers outdoor sport courts throughout the city, including Wheeler Athletic Complex featuring basketball, tennis and dedicated pickleball courts. Play is first come, first served, but reservations can be made for organized play and tournaments.

PICKLEball

Duluth has several dedicated pickleball courts and can even accommodate eight court tournaments. Please contact Duluth Parks & Recreation.

Softball

Duluth offers four softball fields and one baseball field available for rent.

Volleyball

The Duluth Indoor Sports Center (DISC), located at 4403 Rick Lake Rd, features volleyball, pickleball, and tennis courts, as well as a complete fitness center.
