Travel Temperate Trails

With Duluth’s thermometers never stretching much beyond the mid-70s, outdoor activity is a lot more enjoyable. This fair-weathered wonderland has over 200 miles of trails for all who like to hike and bike, including 46 miles of accessible trails.

Chill Out by Heating Up

Being sweaty never felt so cool. After tearing up the trails, find your zen and relax in Cedar + Stone Nordic Sauna. Their newest experience, a floating barge-turned-sauna, is a hot ticket item this summer.

Feast on Something Frozen

Cool off from the inside out. Grab a scoop (or two or three or…) from one of Duluth’s many ice cream shops. Watch ships come into the harbor as you shovel spoons of ice cream into your mouth at Grandma’s Boxcar, located right down the road from the Aerial Lift Bridge.

Reach Record Highs of Cool Vibes

Eat, drink, and be chill at Bent Paddle Taproom and Cann-A-Lounge + Market. Partake in some seltzers and edibles infused with THC for your own TLC while hanging out in the smoke-free Cann-A-Lounge.

See Art that Gives you Chills

Duluth is home to several art galleries, one being the Duluth Art Institute. Here you can drool over the work of the pros as well as dip your brush into different mediums at art workshops. Get goosebumps with live theatre at the Duluth Playhouse. Some upcoming shows include their main-stage musicals Jersey Boys and 9 to 5 The Musical as well as some youth productions like Godspell Jr. and Mean Girls High School Version. If you’re looking for something less dramatic, opt for some more easy-going live music opportunities around the city.

Recline on the Shoreline

If your coolcation overlaps with Duluth’s beach season, take your towel and take it easy on the sands of Park Point. Soak up the sun and go for a dip into serene Superior water.

Temp not cool enough for you? Find some inspiration for planning your ice-cold-cation by checking out all Duluth has to offer during the winter months.
