The Lake Superior and Mississippi Railroad Company (LS&M) is an all-volunteer passenger railroad dedicated to the preservation of railroad history and restoration of railroad artifacts. The original LS&M built the first railroad into Duluth in the 1870s. LS&M reserves 5.2 miles of the original railroad right-of-way into Duluth and operates vintage railroad equipment to let the passenger experience rail transportation as it was in the early to mid-19th century. LS&M is committed to providing a historical and educational railroad experience. Opens in July.
