This 3-day rapidfire workshop covers reliable approaches to plein air painting, observing and translating natural colors onto the canvas. Learn to create effective landscapes at locations around Duluth. Matt will demonstrate using oil painting materials, and will work individually with students. While oils are encouraged, other mediums welcome.

This fundraising event will further help in the fight against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). We are happy to share we are again doing Team Fundraising! Create or join a team and reap the rewards of working as a team! Join us September 17 – 19, 2026 for the Tomassoni Tour – Cycle for ALS, on the beautiful Mesabi Trail. Cyclists will be able to choose between 2 different ride lengths, full (100 total miles over 2 days) or half (50 total miles over 2 days), depending on their comfort level. E-Bikes are welcome! The Duluth Trails Festival is a celebration of mountain biking, trail running, and outdoor adventure! Formerly known as the Bike Duluth Festival, the event has been reintroduced under new leadership from Duluth DEVO Mountain Bike Program, with an expanded vision that emphasizes inclusivity, trail stewardship, and multi-sport participation.
