The American Heart Association is hosting an annual family friendly event to help celebrate heart and stroke survivors, and honor those we’ve lost to heart disease and stroke. The event is FREE to attend and open to the public but we do encourage people to register online at www.northlandheartwalk.org. We offer an hour of fun activities starting at 9AM aimed at educating and inspiring people to live longer, healthier lives. There will then be a brief Opening Ceremony at 10AM followed by the walk. The Lakewalk will have signage marking 1-mile and 2-mile distances, but Walkers are welcome to turn around at any point. The event is free to attend, but we welcome donations in any amount inviting the community to help us raise critically needed funds to support research and education, and join us in the fight against heart disease and stroke!
