In the historic Sacred Heart Music Center, Duluth Sister Cities presents a show that blends the timeless folk music of Charlie Parr with the contemporary visual effects of Altruit, an image and light projection team. Charlie Parr is a Minnesota-born guitarist, songwriter, and interpreter of traditional music. He has released 19 albums over two decades and has been known to perform up to 275 shows a year. Altruit is a Minnesota-based audio/visual project led by projection artists and musicians Karly Ohnstad & Steven Schmidt. Altruit has worked within the local music/arts community to bring unique visual elements and sonic support for concerts and events. Duluth’s Jon Edwards, who plays 12-string and resonator guitars, will be opening the night. All proceeds from this one-time-only event will go to supporting Duluth Sister Cities International.
