Rev your engines, racers! D-Town Driftway is Duluth’s premiere Mario Kart 8 live band, and we want to put you in the driver’s seat. You race your friends in a head-to-head competition, while we play all the Mario Kart OST Hits! Sunshine Airport, Rainbow Road, everything your heart could desire. With Beck Fulin (Trumpet) and Devon Defoe (Saxophone), they add all the sweet and sultry horn lines that we could need. Our rhythm section consists of Marshall Dillon on Guitar, Luke Torrent on Drums, and Taylor Shykes on Bass. We’re here to play, and you should be too. 😉
Come celebrate the power of community, creativity, and inclusion at indiGO’s annual Disability Rights Celebration. This family-friendly public event honors the disability rights movement and marks the milestone 36th anniversary of the landmark Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The celebration features a vibrant community resource fair, a local art and maker market showcasing disabled creators, and plenty of live music, storytelling, and moments of solidarity. Light refreshments and entertainment are completely free for all attendees. The event takes place on Thursday, August 6th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Superior High School, using Main Door N1. Full accessibility is a priority, and American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters will be present on-site throughout the event. Hosted by the Duluth Public Library Storytime ho! Climb aboard the William A. Irvin historical ship for a special storytime! We’ll meet on the top deck for stories, songs, and rhymes at 9:30am, followed by time for families to explore the ship. For kids pre-K – grade 3 with their caregivers. Due to its historical nature as a retired freighter, the Irvin is not ADA accessible and includes multiple staircases to access certain locations. No strollers or wagons please. The top deck has minimal barriers, children must be monitored at all times. When you register, please indicate how many people will be in your group. Ship deck capacity is 130 people. Parking will be free for this event in the DECC parking lot across from the ship.
