A FREE Concert Series on the William A Irvin Every Thursday in August, the William A. Irvin will once again host musicians in a truly unique venue, atop the historic freighter’s spar deck. In addition to a free concert, attendees will enjoy fantastic lift bridge views and a FOMO-inducing experience. This year marks both the 50th anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald and the 40th anniversary of Split Rock Lighthouse’s annual memorial beacon lighting. Throughout the day, guests can explore the lighthouse, fog signal building, and visitor center. Guided tours and a brief film will be available that share the story of the Edmund Fitzgerald and her final voyage.
