A Bell Noel: Ringing in the Holidays!

Join Strikepoint, Duluth’s internationally-acclaimed handbell ensemble, for their annual holiday concert. Strikepoint is noted for capturing the enthusiasm of audiences with its dynamic style and accessible music. Concert selections range from a rip-roaring Farandole to a surprising Diminished Minor Alterations, which presents a medley of familiar carols but in a minor key, to the ever-popular Sleigh Ride. Reviews of Strikepoint concerts have praised their “athleticism and showmanship,” “rhythmic precision, musical nuance, and technical confidence,” with an “exceptionally creative bent!” Joining Strikepoint will be some of their musical friends, including organist Velda Graham Bell, flutist Melanie Sever, and percussionist Jeremy Craycraft. Wild santa 5k & reindeer run

Wild Santa 5k & Reindeer Run

This fun Saturday event winds through the Lincoln Park Craft District, beginning and ending at Wild State Cider. All you have to do is sign up for your 5-piece Santa suit to run in, a free cider (or juice), live holiday music and a free bowl of chili after the run. Kids 8 and younger can join the Reindeer Run for free. What can spectators expect? Hundreds of Santas running around the neighborhood.

Santa at the Lighthouse

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Santa is excited to return to Split Rock Lighthouse this holiday season! Stop by and visit with Santa on Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, December 14, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Children ages 5–17 receive free admission both days. Adults can also explore the lighthouse grounds for free by bringing a donation for the Silver Bay Veterans Home. And don’t forget to snap a photo with Santa during your visit!
