This LiveWell 5K Walk/Run/Roll & Celebration is hosted by LiveWell which is an initiative of the Pruitt Center for Mindfulness & Well-being at UW-Superior. LiveWell is a holistic mental health project created to support those who are living, working, and attending school in Douglas County and the greater Twin Ports area. We work to identify and create innovative ways to address the current mental health crisis in our community. One way we do this is through activities which foster connection and prevent social isolation. As a part of this initiative, we are excited to host our third annual 5K, promoting connection & advocating for mental wellness in our community. Pop Culture & Tabletop Gaming Convention 2025 What is Excalibur Con? Excalibur Con Pop Culture and Tabletop Gaming Convention will be Duluth’s premier pop culture convention that supports nerd and geek culture in Northern Minnesota. This convention will celebrate sci-fi, fantasy, tabletop game, comic book, anime, & nostalgia fandoms of all kinds! We will have vendors, artists, celebrity guests, tabletop game tournaments (such as Kings of War, Warhammer 40k, and Magic the Gathering), along with silent auctions & raffles that will support our non-profit organization, MNSWCA.org, and our charity partners. Kids, Cops, and Cars will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bayfront. This event will showcase multiple law enforcement and first responder vehicles that are ready for exploration and play. There will also be K-9 demonstrations, tug-of-war, free food, and other activities!
Join us in extending a warm Duluth welcome to the cruise ship and its passengers. Duluth welcomed a handful of cruise ships in the mid-1990s and early 2000s. However, 2022 saw a new era of passenger cruising come to the Twin Ports. In the summer of 2025, ten ships will enter our Duluth-Superior harbor under the Lift Bridge. Duluth is now considered an attractive passenger destination and the cruise industry forecasts more leisure cruises in our area in the years to come. Many cruise guests have never been to Minnesota and are delighted by our city, its hospitality, and all it offers visitors. Caution: Harbor Drive is closed to road traffic during this time, please park and walk to the harbor. Harbor Drive includes restricted zones.
