Rev your engines, racers! D-Town Driftway is Duluth’s premiere Mario Kart 8 live band, and we want to put you in the driver’s seat. You race your friends in a head-to-head competition, while we play all the Mario Kart OST Hits! Sunshine Airport, Rainbow Road, everything your heart could desire. With Beck Fulin (Trumpet) and Devon Defoe (Saxophone), they add all the sweet and sultry horn lines that we could need. Our rhythm section consists of Marshall Dillon on Guitar, Luke Torrent on Drums, and Taylor Shykes on Bass. We’re here to play, and you should be too. 😉
Duluth Public Schools started the Unity In Our Community back-to-school event held at Bayfront Festival Park in 2022. Each year we celebrate our students, staff, families, and district. At this event, we have booths, speakers, school and community groups performing on stage, fun activities for kids, and so much more. We also continue to have a free backpack giveaway for families who need it provided by Neighborhood Youth Services and provide a free meal to all who attend. We also pay for transportation hubs around the city using our buses to help break down barriers. The 2025 event will be at Bayfront Festival from 3:30-7pm on Monday, August 18, 2025. Join us at 4pm for a free 1-mile Fun Run hosted by Grandma’s Marathon and Duluth Community Education! Registration is now open! Register for the fun run now!
A Shakespeare Teen Intensive – Performances on August 22-24 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) at Hartley Nature Center Outdoor Amphitheater ALL SHOWS at 6:00pm FREE | First Come, First Served (there are wooden benches and lots of space, read more below) Show starts at 6pm rain or shine! In case of inclement weather a “make up” performance will take place Sunday, August 24th, location TBD. Bring a picnic, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and bug spray is recommended. Zeitgeist will have concessions available! The show is free to the public with a $10 suggested donation that will go towards future youth Shakespeare adventures! Fun for the whole fam!
