Veterans Day at the St. Louis County Depot
This year the Duluth Women of Today are joining forces with the Veterans Memorial Hall in sponsoring our 2025 Veterans Day Ceremonies. This year marks the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps. The event will take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in the Great Hall of the DEPOT (506 W. Michigan St). The program will begin promptly at 11 AM and will include an array of patriotic music provided by the Spirit Valley Drum & Bugle Corps., the Superior Senior High School Choir, bag piper Kerry Welch and the National Anthem will be sung by Aalyiah Gebhardt. The guest speaker will be Bob Stephens, 10-year U.S. Navy Veteran, and regular member of the American Legion Hall Post #71. History in a Pint: Eagle’s Nest Photo Album
Veterans Memorial Hall, a program of the St. Louis County Historical Society, and the Lake Superior Railroad Museum announce their next event in the local history presentation series, History in a Pint. The presentation will feature an item from our Collection known as “The Eagle’s Nest Photo Album.” The speaker will be Jay Hagen, the Veterans Memorial Hall Program Manager. It will take place in the Lake Superior Railroad Museum at the St. Louis County DEPOT on Thursday, October 23, at 5:30 pm. The Eagle’s Nest Photo Album is part of the St. Louis County Historical Society’s collection stored in the Albert J. Amatuzio Research Center. Inclusion Mobile Museum, Telling the Story of Civil Rights for a Forgotten Minority: People with Developmental Disabilities Exhibit Opens October 1, 2025 Open House: October 14, 2025 from 5pm – 6pm In observance of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, the St. Louis County Historical Society (Society) is pleased to host the Minnesota Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities Inclusion Exhibit beginning October 1st on the second floor of the St. Louis County Depot (506 W Michigan St, Duluth, MN). The exhibit was developed in 2024 by the Minnesota Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities and is co-hosted by Udac, a Duluth nonprofit established in 1969 to support individuals with disabilities. Celebrating the journey to increase the independence, productivity, self-determination, integration, and inclusion of Minnesotans with developmental disabilities and their families.
