The St. Louis County Historical Society is thrilled to announce the rescheduled date for the Bicentennial Boom presentation. Hosted at the historic Lake Superior Railroad Museum inside the St. Louis County Depot (506 W Michigan St, Duluth, MN), this is the last of our three-part series — collectively themed “A Summer of Storytelling” — with an engaging blend of local triumph, humorous misadventures, and poignant wartime reflections. Multicultural post-rock group Baharat is composed of vocalist Lyla Abukhodair, guitarists Emanuel Eisele and Marshall Dillon, bassist Jackson Engstrom, and drummer Rob Runnels. Having deep roots throughout the Duluth music scene, each musician brings their own unique flavor to the namesake Middle Eastern spice mix, which reflects Abukhodair’s Palestinian heritage. Since the release of their singles in 2024, following their Trampled by Turtles Palomino Grant, the band has been marinating on new material and is ready to slap it on the grill in front of everyone. Drawing influence from Midwest emo, folk, and punk, there is something to satiate every palate.
