The free, after-hours event will focus on getting into meteorology as women in a male-dominated field, detailing how meteorologists forecast, and exploring both the broadcast and government career paths. Awe is the feeling we experience when we encounter vast mysteries we don’t fully understand. We find awe in the eight wonders of life, from moral beauty to music to nature to spiritual epiphany. New research shows that even a brief dose of awe benefits our brains, hearts, and immune systems, counters selfishness and anxiety, and encourages greater sharing, creativity, and sense of common humanity.
