Volun-Cheers, Northshore!
This year for National Volunteer Week, Head of the Lakes United Way is teaming up with our non-profit partners in the Twin Ports and on the Northshore to celebrate current volunteers and spark volun-curiousity for those looking to give back to their community. We are hosting two Volun-Cheers events that will feature door prizes, food, music and a chance to mingle with volunteers, volunteer coordinators, leaders from local non-profit organizations, sponsors and participating businesses. This event will be followed by a screening of a local documentary, “The Middle Ground,” highlighting the work of local volunteers with the Duluth Center of Women and Children in their Nourish Initiative. The film will be shown at the Harbor Theater at 6:15 pm. Following this screening at 7 pm, the Harbor Theater will show “To Kill a Mockingbird.”

TCS Rizzidency Night with Indecent Proposal, Blue Obcityon, & Ricky Carl
Indecent Proposal is back for our annual Caddyshack Rizzidency — and this year, every dollar at the door helps bring the historic Duluth Armory renovation project to life. For the first three Friday nights in April, we’re taking over The Caddyshack with themed nights featuring our favorites. Paws n’ Pints to Benefit Carlton County Animal Rescue
The Leadership Group with the Cloquet Chamber of Commerce is planning and hosting this fundraising and outreach event benefiting the Carlton County Animal Rescue. Moose Lake Brewing Company will be donating $1 for every pint sold! A variety of fun silent auction items/baskets you won’t want to miss out on! A bake sale with all kinds of goodies to enjoy with a pint of your favorite beer or take home to share.
