The Lake Superior Ice Festival is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration that brings together the entire community to embrace the magic of winter. Coordinated through the efforts of local organizations, volunteers, and partners, the festival showcases Superior’s unique charm and our shared love for the season. Our vision is to create an inclusive and welcoming experience that invites people of all ages and abilities to gather, explore, and enjoy the many wonders of winter in our beautiful lakeside city. From sparkling ice sculptures and outdoor activities to warm food and friendly faces, the Lake Superior Ice Festival is a joyful reminder of the resilience, creativity, and spirit that make Superior truly special. While attendance at the Lake Superior Ice Festival is free, there are certain optional events that do have costs associated. Think: Cozy fall eats Seasonal sips A pumpkin bounce house A lakeside twist on the classic hayride Local makers + shopping galore Adoptable dogs from PJ’s Rescue Cabin full of books And all the autumn vibes you can handle We’ll have local vendors setup along Harbor Drive with food, kid activities, pumpkin bounce house and inflatable toddler farm town! We will have places to relax & enjoy the fall breeze off the lake with a beverage in hand. Plenty of pumpkins and photo-ops and best of all, free to attend!
