Pirate Barrr

The DECC’s Pop-Up Pirate Barrr has a bird’s eye view of the Tall Ships along the seawall! Come enjoy pirate-y beverages on our deck or by the huge windows of the DECC’s Harbor Side Convention Center Thursday: 11:00 AM – 5:30 PM (includes the Parade of Sail) Friday: 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM Saturday: 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM   Location: Duluth Entertainment Convention Center, Enter by Door G near the Vista Fleet or via the Skyway. Admission: FREE TO ATTEND – No ticket necessary for entrance to the barrr. The Festival of Sail is a ticketed event granting access to the street level in front of the ships. Festival of Sail is not run by the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. DECC parking rates apply

Duluth Rose Fest

The Rose Fest will be held on Saturday July 12, 2025 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Leif Erikson Rose Garden, 1300 London Road, Duluth MN. It is free and open to the public. Take a guided tour of the Rose Garden. Attend classes on rose growing basics, roses in the garden or containers. Learn about easy to grow roses for our area or join a treasure hunt for kids of all ages. Get your questions answered about growing roses in our region. Presented by the Lake Superior Rose Society and the City of Duluth.

2025 Women in Theatre, New Play Festival

Duluth Playhouse Underground is thrilled to announce the return of its annual new play festival, the Women in Theatre, New Play Festival, taking place June 6, 2025, at the NorShor Theatre. This one-night-only event features eight powerful short plays written by women and staged by a talented cohort of local directors and performers. The pieces range from intimate to absurd, hilarious to haunting – all unified by their originality and experimentation with form. Beginning at 6:30PM, audiences are invited to arrive early to explore the lobby of the NorShor Theatre, where local community organizations and artists will be tabling. This pre-show gathering offers a chance to connect with local creatives, learn about resources and initiatives in the community, and celebrate the vibrant network of women-led work happening in the Twin Ports and beyond.
