Tales of ᏓᎦᏏ Dagsi Turtle & ᏥᏍᏚ Jisdu Wabbit

Presented by Duluth Public Libraries and Every Child Ready coalition as part of Family Fest. In this live performance, Dagsi Turtle & his sidekick Jisdu Wabbit race through time and space in a musical adventure into Cherokee Futurism. Hop aboard the Turtleship and join Dagsi and Jisdu’s quest to help Grandmother Turtle raise the Gadugi (spirit of cooperation) throughout the universe. Tales, a 2025 Jim Henson Foundation Family Theater Grant Awardee, features catchy original tunes and out-of-this-world puppet characters. The show is created and performed by Cherokee Nation citizen Chris Griffith and Shari Aronson, directed by Julie Boada (Anishinabe). Recommended for ages 4+. This activity made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Internationally acclaimed dancer, teacher, author, and founding Bellydance Superstars member **Tamalyn Dallal** has performed and taught in more than 40 countries. Influential performer and educator **Cassandra Shore** brings decades of artistry, technique, choreography, and mentorship. Experience **DanceMeditation™** with New Orleans-based dancer and educator **Kryss Statho**, a somatic practice exploring breath, intuition, and free movement. Illinois-based educator **Erin Mariele** will teach material from Zoe Jakes’ DanceCraft: Key of Diamonds. RAQS & RESET is more than dance—it’s connection, healing, and community. 100% of net proceeds benefit the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

✨ Outdoor Clay Workshops All Day at Chambers Grove Park Sunday August 30th Participant Tickets: $25 per maker early bird pricing through 8/19 Drop in anytime | 10 AM-3 PM Create at your own pace. Stay as long as you’d like. Free clay demos for everyone! ✨ Advance tickets appreciated to help estimate clay materials. Each ticket covers 1 adult/ 1 child. Please purchase additional tickets for additional participating children / adults. Squish! is a relaxed, outdoor drop-in clay day held at Chambers Grove Park. There are no scheduled class times, so you can arrive anytime between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM and create at your own pace. Your participant ticket includes access to hands-on clay making, guidance from the instructor, and all materials needed to make your project. Wander between making, hiking, take breaks, playground, watch live clay demos, enjoy the riverside setting, or simply spend time with family…

Fundraiser Breakfast During Agate Days!

Come enjoy a wonderful all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast for $10 during the infamous Agate Days in Moose Lake, MN! Local residents Jennifer and Barney Hollis will be serving breakfast on Saturday, July 18 from 7:30 am – 11:00 am in the Moose Lake City Park and plan on donating all proceeds to be split between Carlton County Animal Rescue and Boy Scout Troop #180. Come hungry and help support your local animal rescue and Boy Scout Troop!
