Ready for a career where you can EARN while you LEARN on the job? Visit Construction Career Night at the DECC Edmund Fitzgerald Hall on March 17th from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. The event is open to the public and will include the chance to meet employers, including 14 construction unions, try out tools and equipment, and talk to expert members of construction union apprenticeship programs. Rich Mattson and the Northstars Album Release Show! | Live on the Cosmic Stage!

Wake Up Songs is the 7th offering from Rich Mattson and the Northstars, an American Cosmic Rock band based in the nether regions (Iron Range) of northeast Minnesota (Sparta, to be precise). The music explores the outer limits of their cosmic sound, with exploding drums, hypersonic guitars, slippery bass syrup, and soaring over the top of it, as always, the sweet harmonies of Rich Mattson and Germaine Gemberling. Their last full-length record, “Out There,” was released in 2022, followed by the 2024 single “Rendezvous With a Star” and 3-album set of solo acoustic versions from Mattson (“Spartan Tracks Vol. 1-3”). The group was invited to open for the mighty Built To Spill on a tour from Minneapolis to Pittsburgh. Explore the Shore: Twin Ports History Fest

The Cook County Historical Society, Historic Harbor Theater, Knife River Cultural Heritage Center, Lake County Historical Society, Noatun Community Wooden Boatworks, and Two Harbors Public Library are banding together to offer “History Day on the Shore” as part of the 5th annual Twin Ports History Fest. Visit at least three of the participating North Shore venues Friday, March 27th, to receive a complimentary movie ticket to a Friday or Saturday show at the Harbor Theater valid March 27th & 28th only.
