Calling all K through 5 elementary children! There are still a few spots open! KidsConnect is where children use their brain power as they connect with Jesus, family, and friends of all ages! As children learn and create together, they will find a place of belonging, make new friends, and follow Jesus’s example of making room for all and loving one another. Each day starts with gathering, singing and looking for connections to our communities, families, friends and the divine. Throughout the week we will engage in service projects for our community, such as gathering food for a local food shelf. Then children rotate between 3 different stations: Story Connections (reading the daily Bible story and a Children’s Book related to that day’s theme); Kinetic Connections (playing fun and cooperative games outside – a chance to move and process feelings and learnings); Creative Connections (wondering and exploration of the daily…

She followed that up with a stellar career at the University of Wisconsin as the most prolific scorer in the program’s history. Anderson was drafted in the second round of the 2008 WNBA Draft by the Connecticut Sun. After playing a year in the WNBA, Anderson continued her professional career with stops in France, Turkey, Poland, Italy, Spain, Australia and Mexico. C.J. Plan Now For A Perfect Summer Night at Glensheen Celebrating its 11th anniversary in 2026, the Concerts on the Pier series is a FREE event every Wednesday, July – August. Bring a lawn chair or explore the grounds to find the perfect spot to enjoy music by local favorites. Come by car, foot or watercraft – all people and ages are welcome! Food and beverages are available for purchase. The event is free and open to the public from 5:30 to 8 pm. Gates open at 5 pm, however, for those interested, early access can be obtained by purchasing grounds admission or a tour. Each night, the opener will perform from 5:30-6 pm and the headliner will play from 6:30-8 pm. The Northland Vietnam Veterans Association is inviting veterans, veteran’s families, and the public to participate in honoring the area men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our great nation. The ceremony will be held on Traditional Memorial Day (Saturday, May 30th, 2026) at 6 PM, at the Northland Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the Lakewalk. The Northland Vietnam Veterans Association has been honoring our 137 northland brothers (with the addition of Pfc. Rory T. Haran, US Marine Corps, of Proctor in 2025), whose names are inscribed on the Wall, since the dedication of the Memorial on Memorial Day 1992. Presiding Officer of the ceremony is Dwight Nelson (U.S. Navy), Past President of the Northland Vietnam Veterans Association and designer of the Northland Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
