Operating since 1914, Duluth Playhouse is one of the oldest non-profit theater companies in the nation, providing exceptional entertainment, unforgettable experiences and vital stories from its beautiful home at the iconic NorShor Theatre. Based in the heart of downtown Duluth, the Playhouse lives out its mission of creating opportunities in the theatrical arts that educate, entertain and engage the region. Audiences are swept away by live orchestras, epic production designs and unbelievable performances.
The Duluth Art Institute is temporarily closed. It will reopen in a new location Summer of 2024. The Duluth Art Institute enriches daily life with dynamic, innovative visual arts programming that upholds excellence and promotes inclusive community participation. It creates opportunities for artists to share what they’ve created in a place where people can come together to discuss their own perspectives and interpretations.

This Duluth Landmark began as a warehouse and manufacturing site in 1909. The 1985 renovation created the DeWitt-Seitz Marketplace, a multi-use building with a collection of retail shops, restaurants, conference rooms, offices and other small businesses.
