The Show for those 55+ that are Getting Older, but Still GOing! Today’s generation of seniors isn’t the butterscotch in their pocket, tissue in their sleeve seniors of the old days. Today’s seniors and soon-to-be seniors are active, they are still: working, having fun, helping raise their children’s children, vacationing, crafting, building, buying – they are Still Going. And the GO Show will help them find the information they need to get there. At the GO Show, you’ll still find all the important information you need as you get older – estate planning, healthcare, etc – but now the GO Show will focus not just on what you have to do, but what they WANT to do! This means more fun – with exhibitors featuring travel, beer, food, outdoor gear, hobbies, and afternoon entertainment that will rock. We’re excited to meet the needs of today’s seniors and to present an expo where... 
Stop in at Tractor Supply to meet adoptable animals available through CCAR and talk to our volunteers to learn more about how you can adopt, foster, volunteer, or donate! Calling all members of Bulldog Country, it’s time to cheer on your team! Head down to AMSOIL Arena when Long Island comes to town for a heart-pounding ice battle. No matter your age, a Bulldog’s hockey game is always an enjoyable and exciting experience. 
Come and explore the farm with your family. Jump in the corn pit, dig in the sandbox, or explore Dinoland and Fairyland. There are two playgrounds, yard games, a wagon ride through the Whimsical Woods and so much more. Feed the donkeys, goats, and chickens and walk through the berries. The farm is open to everyone Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, August 7 through October 25, 2026, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We will also open Thursday, October 15 for MEA weekend from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Tickets are sold at the entrance in the yellow building. The cost is $8.00 a person, and infants are free. Everything on the farm is included in the price. We are off Highway 53 in Duluth at 5399 Samuelson Road.

In Texas, the Krause List targets 850 books focused on race and LGBTQIA+ stories – triggering sweeping book bans across the U.S. at an unprecedented rate. As tensions escalate, librarians connect the dots from heated school and library board meetings nationwide to lay bare the underpinnings of a large-scale coordinated extremist movement fueling the censorship efforts. Junk journaling (or art journaling) is accessible to everyone, fun, a great way to upcycle materials you already have, and a way to let go of preconceived notions of any artistic outcome. This class is all about the journey. These two sessions are designed to be taken either together or individually. Participants in the first session will create their own unique junk journal. In the second session, participants will explore color and materials via some art exercises, then use those results to start embellishing their junk journals. Everyone is welcome—no prior journaling or art experience is necessary, and creating with friends, family, and/or loved ones works great. Funded by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Bring your antique/collectible item for a free appraisal to the St. Louis County Depot at 506 West Michigan Street, Duluth, Minnesota. The St. Louis County Historical Society has arranged for Denny Mager of Northern Specialty, an expert in antique appraisal, to be at your service beginning at noon in the Union Lounge (outside of the Board Room), which is on street level. Follow event signage. Registration is in person only and cut-off at 2:30PM, so the appraiser can finish appraisals by 3PM. Guests are called up in the order that they are registered. Join us for a fun adventure of trick or treating on Glensheen’s historic grounds! Grab a treat or trinket at all 11 stops around our 12 acre estate, that will guide you through various stops including the Gardener’s cottage front door, boathouse, servant’s door, the Juliet balcony, and the mansion front door.
