We will also open Thursday\, October 15 for MEA weekend from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Tickets are sold at the entrance in the yellow building. The cost is $8.00 a person\, and infants are free. Everything on the farm is included in the price. \nWe are off Highway 53 in Duluth at 5399 Samuelson Road.

DESCRIPTION:This is a half day (3-hour) workshop for plein air painters wishing to learn a confident approach to outdoor landscape painting in Autumn. Matt will demonstrate and provide one-on-one guidance toward painting a scene with fall colors. \nBring your own pochade painting box with tripod or plein air easel\, along with paints\, brushes\, palette knife\, odorless mineral spirits and paper towels. The session is geared towards oil painting\, but students wishing to use gouache or watercolors are welcome to bring those supplies. A camping chair and clothing for inclement weather are also suggested. The painting location for our workshop will be determined by weather forecast and announced prior to class.

DESCRIPTION:Come and explore the farm with your family. Jump in the corn pit\, dig in the sandbox\, or explore Dinoland and Fairyland. There are two playgrounds\, yard games\, a wagon ride through the Whimsical Woods and so much more. Feed the donkeys\, goats\, and chickens and walk through the berries. \nThe farm is open to everyone Fridays\, Saturdays\, and Sundays\, August 7 through October 25\, 2026\, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We will also open Thursday\, October 15 for MEA weekend from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Tickets are sold at the entrance in the yellow building. The cost is $8.00 a person\, and infants are free. Everything on the farm is included in the price. \nWe are off Highway 53 in Duluth at 5399 Samuelson Road.

Since then\, she has dedicated her career to capturing the ever-changing beauty of this remarkable landscape—from rugged coastlines and dramatic weather to the brilliant colors of the aurora borealis and the quiet brilliance of the night sky. \nBest known for her immersive aurora and night sky photography\, Shawn creates images and time-lapse films that reveal the beauty of the natural world in ways often hidden from the naked eye. Her work invites viewers to slow down\, look up\, and experience the wonder that unfolds after sunset. \nIn addition to operating her Lake Superior Photo gallery in downtown Marquette\, Shawn is an award-winning photographer\, educator\, and workshop leader. DESCRIPTION:Junk journaling (or art journaling) is accessible to everyone\, fun\, a great way to upcycle materials you already have\, and a way to let go of preconceived notions of any artistic outcome. This class is all about the journey. \nThese two sessions are designed to be taken either together or individually. Participants in the first session will create their own unique junk journal. In the second session\, participants will explore color and materials via some art exercises\, then use those results to start embellishing their junk journals. Everyone is welcome—no prior journaling or art experience is necessary\, and creating with friends\, family\, and/or loved ones works great. \nFunded by the National Endowment for the Arts.
