Opening Artist Reception for Sanctuary by Maya Washington

June 8 • 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Maya Washington Sancturay Event invite

The American Indian Community Housing Organization (AICHO) will host the opening artist reception for Sanctuary by multi-disciplinary artist Maya Washington. Sanctuary is a meditation on resilience, safety, and community. Washington’s reflection on the subtlety of daily life before, during, and after 2020, documents the time span as witness amidst personal and universal upheaval. This reception will welcome Washington and her photography and paintings into our newly renovated art space. Join us in celebrating Maya Washington and listen to her speak about her art exhibition. Sanctuary will run starting on June 10, 2024 and ending on August 30, 2024. Sanctuary will be the first art exhibit in AICHO’s newly renovated gallery space. AICHO Galleries is funded by the McKnight Foundation.
