Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra | To Sing
April 30, 2022 • 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
$10 – $58Join us for a night bursting with song! The concert opens with the Negro Folk Symphony, composed by William Dawson in 1934. Dawson creates a work that is reminiscent of Dvořák’s New World Symphony, using traditional spirituals being sung across the instruments in the orchestra. Then, be spellbound by our Symphony Chorus as we perform an array of choral showstoppers including Orff’s dramatic O Fortuna and Handel’s timeless Hallelujah chorus.
