Buckthorn Pull at Moose Mountain SNA

Come out and help us remove invasive species at Moose Mountain SNA. The task for the day will be pulling young buckthorn, a plant that invades woodland areas and out-competes native species. As an added bonus this is a wonderful site to view fall color! Registration in-advance is required. To register, please email arika.mcgraw@state.mn.us. Tools, instructions, and good camaraderie will be provided. Bring water, snacks, and dress for working in the weather. Footwear appropriate for outdoor work/hiking is recommended. If you have your own gloves you’d like to use, please bring those as well. There are no maintained trails, public restrooms nor access to drinking water on this site.
