  • Jazz at the Depot: Jazz In Film

Depot Stage - Historic St Louis County Depot 506 W. Michigan Street, Duluth, MN, United States

Whiplash, Casablanca, Austin Powers, and even A Charlie Brown Christmas are all examples of the deep history of big band jazz showing up in film, and also share the distinction of being movies we're playing tunes from in the Duluth Community Jazz Band's winter concert. DCJB is made up of passionate, talented community musicians who are your friends, neighbors, and coworkers that want to play high level music but not as a profession. Don't let the word "community" fool you - this band can really swing. This concert was made possible by a generous grant from The Depot Foundation, and is free of admission asking only for a charitable donation to support community music if you are able.

  • A Year with Frog & Toad

Depot Stage - Historic St Louis County Depot 506 W. Michigan Street, Duluth, MN, United States

Based on Arnold Lobel’s beloved books, these two best of friends celebrate and rejoice in their differences that make them unique, but also makes their partnership so special. An unlikely pairing between the cheerful, popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad blossoms and grows as they travel through four fun-filled seasons. They plant gardens, swim in swimming pools, rake leaves, and go sledding down snowy hills, all the while learning many life lessons along the way. Grab your bestie and come celebrate the bond of friendship with this charming musical for the whole family. ASL interpretation planned for Saturday, April 30th at 1pm.
