A spooky end to our local racing calendar, the Superior Nightmare 5K brings with it plenty of scary surprises and haunted hijinks. Dress your best for this annual combination of Halloween and running, and be sure to enter our costume contest to decide the day’s best-dressed! All Superior Nightmare 5K adult participants will receive a commemorative full-zip jacket and all youth participants will receive a commemorative hooded sweatshirt, included with the entry fee. The Spider Dash Kids’ Races are FREE and open to all participants ages 14 & under. The kids’ races will start at 11:45 a.m., shortly after the conclusion of the main race. It’s the that time of year folks! We got a Halloween show that will bring the spirits out and make the wolves howl. We’ll also be paying tribute to the Witch Tree or more appropriately known as Manidoo-Giizhigans (Little Cedar Spirit Tree) which holds a special significance to the region and is sacred to the Ojibwe people.
