Join us for our next Gatherings by Sheraton, a free event where guests and the community can come together to enjoy a fun twist on a summer BBQ favorite. We’re serving pulled pork in a martini glass, combining classic flavors with a creative presentation. Stop by, mingle, and enjoy great food and good company.
All prizes for this event will be hitting the State maximum of $500!! Some prize examples are: Vikings tickets, Coach Purse set, Filled Yeti cooler, $500 Target shopping spree, Taurus 9mm, and more. We’re adding some raffles, so be sure to bring a couple extra dollars. As always, this amazing event is only going to cost you $25 to play all 11 games. There are extra half-packets available for $4. SALTYDOG Their rhythms may be a little bossy. Their drummers commanded me to feel Saucy. Another Duluth band that can hold a groove. The Bass lines funk and the bootys move. Some songs tell stories and others tell moods. They sing about friends and they sing about foods. With Improvisations both jarring and dreamy, one guitar clucks and the other ones creamy. Looking for a band to follow outta the fog? Well look no further than Saltydog. Duluth-based northwoods funk jam band Saltydog consists of Jacob Mahon on guitar and vocals, drummer Owen “Owie”Mahon (who also does vocals), Sam Deters on guitar, Bryon “Lefty” Johnson on percussion, Calvin “Calzone” Lund on the Bass and Gavin St. Clair on the keys. Strikepoint, an internationally-acclaimed handbell ensemble based in Duluth, Minnesota, will be performing at 7:00pm on Sunday, August 10 at First United Methodist Church (230 E. Skyline Parkway) in Duluth. Admission is free but an $18 donation is suggested. This performance is conclusion of Strikepoint’s 2025 summer concert tour, which took them as far west as Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. Strikepoint was established in 1984 and has been touring annually since 1986. Their travels have taken them to England, Scotland, Japan, Hong Kong, Sweden, Canada, Hawaii and throughout the mainland U.S. They have performed at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, Sterling Castle in Scotland, Disney World in Florida, and both Disneyland and the Crystal Cathedral in California. Locally, they have performed with the Arrowhead Chorale, the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra, and the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra. Jellicle Cats come out tonight! Come one, come all to Duluth Playhouse’s 2025 Junior Intensive. This all-singing, all-dancing Tony Award-winning musical spectacular ran on Broadway for 18 years. Set amongst a larger-than-life junkyard playground, the Jellicle Cats come out to play on one special night of the year. They tell their stories and dance the night away in this iconic mega-musical.
