Molly Beth Griffin, author of Rings of Heartwood: Poems on Growing, will be at Split Rock Lighthouse for a book signing. Rings of Heartwood, a beautifully written and illustrated children’s picture book, encourages readers of all ages to appreciate the challenge of change and the seasons of life, and to feel a deep kinship with the natural world.
The Rose Fest will be held on Saturday July 12, 2025 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Leif Erikson Rose Garden, 1300 London Road, Duluth MN. It is free and open to the public. Take a guided tour of the Rose Garden. Attend classes on rose growing basics, roses in the garden or containers. Navy Week Sets Sail for Duluth: Celebrating 250 Years! The U.S. Navy is returning to Duluth, Minnesota, for Navy Week from June 30 – July 6, 2025! Friday, August 15th, 7PM. Come listen and dance your way into a great time with live bossanova music. The Buffalo Function Music Band will be bringing this Brazilian style jazz all the way from Minneapolis. All ages are welcome. N/A drinks will be available for purchase.
