Duluth-based northwoods funk jam band Saltydog consists of Jacob Mahon on guitar and vocals, drummer Owen “Owie”Mahon (who also does vocals), Sam Deters on guitar, Bryon “Lefty” Johnson on percussion, Calvin “Calzone” Lund on the Bass and Gavin St. Clair on the keys. Bonfire Music Group recording artists the Roe Family Singers are a Hard-Core Old-Time band from Minneapolis, MN. Led by wife & husband Kim and Quillan Roe, the band marries old-time sounds from barn-dances, fiddle pulls, and county fairs with a punk rock delivery. Featuring banjo, Autoharp, guitar, and Appalachian clogging, the band and family of fans have been regularly filling Minneapolis’ 331 Club every Monday night since 2005. They’ve shared the stage with Doc Watson, Ralph Stanley, Mike Seeger, Del McCoury, Jesse McReynolds, the Grascals, Jim Kweskin & Geoff Muldaur, Junior Brown, Asleep at the Wheel, and John McEuen & John Carter Cash. Join the Northern Lights Foundation, the Duluth Police Department, and the Duluth Fire Department for the 16th Annual Charity Softball Game on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Military Members, First Responders and children of all ages attend for FREE! With the incredible support of The Duluth Huskies and Wade Stadium we present a fun, family, community event while raising money for local families with children facing life-threatening illnesses. Enjoy police and fire displays, delicious food, amazing raffles, and a ball game! It’s a great night at Wade Stadium watching a friendly but competitive softball game all while supporting a local children’s charity! Fun-Filled Community Event – all invited! There will be games for kids & an interactive activity with the Duluth Children’s Museum. Raffle tickets will be available at the game. Doors open at 5:00pm. Game starts at 6:00pm.
