Join the St. Louis River Alliance and Allouez Bay project partners on Tuesday, October 7, for a full moon gathering on Wisconsin Point. The evening begins at 4:30pm with a welcome in Lot 1. A self-guided walk along Bear Creek Trail (Makwa Ziibiins Miikana) will begin shortly after 4:30pm. Explore recent upgrades, including a pavilion, interpretive signage, and native plantings. At 5:15pm, gather for hot tea before the program begins (hopefully around a fire) at 5:30pm. Together, we’ll hear from partners leading the Allouez Bay Marsh Bird Habitat Project, including the St. Louis River Alliance, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Audubon Great Lakes, and the Lake Superior Headwaters Sustainability Partnership. They’ll introduce the project’s goals and share how they hope to include your voices in restoration design features.
