The GND REC Skate Jam is going to another level this year with professional skateboard team; Real Skateboarding on site to do demonstrations and sign autographs. The team is led by former skateboarder of the year Mason Silva along with Nicole Hause, and Toby Ryan. There will be a variety of contests for skateboarders of all skill levels. There will be food trucks; Room at the Table doing smash burgers and Gumbeaux Guys doing the greatest Cajun food in the Northland. Fran’s world famous hot fudge sundaes will also be available for purchase. The DTA (Chicago / Steely Dan tribute band) begins playing greatest hits at 4pm. This is free family friendly event. The Creepmas Parade is an annual outdoor costume parade focused on folklore, blending Krampusnacht traditions and Creepmas aesthetics. Participants are encouraged to respectfully dress up as winter myths, cryptids or any creature that resonates with them. Bells are the unifying piece of the parade and organizers encourage everyone to jingle and jangle along the parade route. The parade takes place on the first Saturday in December. Never Surrender Inc is excited to return to Northern Minnesota for the 4th Annual Tomassoni Tour – Cycle for ALS. This fundraising event will further help in the fight against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). We are happy to share we are again doing Team Fundraising! Create or join a team and reap the rewards of working as a team! Join us September 17 – 19, 2026 for the Tomassoni Tour – Cycle for ALS, on the beautiful Mesabi Trail. Cyclists will be able to choose between 2 different ride lengths, full (100 total miles over 2 days) or half (50 total miles over 2 days), depending on their comfort level. E-Bikes are welcome! Can’t make it? Register as a virtual cyclist and choose your own mileage and location!
Join the fun for a 3 hour scenic train ride up the beautiful shores of Lake Superior celebrating the LGBTQAI2S Duluth-Superior Pride Festival. This is an annual 21+ party with food included, cash bar, live dj, dancing, and amazing views while you travel on the rails of the North Shore Scenic Railroad. Arrive at The Depot early and enjoy our free pre-boarding party from 2pm to 3:30pm, with music and a bar, while you hang out in the boarding area or tour the Lake Superior Railroad Museum (included as part of PRIDE).
