Come celebrate and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with us as Norwegian immigrant, teacher, and author Kristbjørg Eide launches her new book They Sowed Goodness filled with stories from the late 1800’s to the year 2000 featuring the joys and challenges of living off the land on a rocky island in the North Sea. The tension between financial security and physical danger experienced by Norwegian fishermen. The fear and defiance triggered by the Nazi occupation of 1940-1945. Vivid descriptions of daily life and special occasions in Norwegian villages. Mouthwatering descriptions of traditional foods, some with recipes.
