SALTYDOG Their rhythms may be a little bossy. Their drummers commanded me to feel Saucy. Another Duluth band that can hold a groove. The Bass lines funk and the bootys move. Some songs tell stories and others tell moods. They sing about friends and they sing about foods. With Improvisations both jarring and dreamy, one guitar clucks and the other ones creamy. Looking for a band to follow outta the fog? Well look no further than Saltydog. Duluth-based northwoods funk jam band Saltydog consists of Jacob Mahon on guitar and vocals, drummer Owen “Owie”Mahon (who also does vocals), Sam Deters on guitar, Bryon “Lefty” Johnson on percussion, Calvin “Calzone” Lund on the Bass and Gavin St. Clair on the keys. Water Cat is a Franco-American duo with a sweet, stompy, and eclectic sound. Consisting of Emma Musto as the lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Henry Bullard, Water Cat can take you from original songs on the resonator guitar to Nirvana on the banjo to Edith Piaf, to West Africa and back.
