FEMNFEST (FEM-N FEST, LIKE MN) An unapologetically feminist festival. A weekend of empowerment through music, art, films, workshops, education, and connection. Celebrating with one another to enjoy ourselves, enrich ourselves, and connect as a community. FEMN FEST centers around and features women & genderqueer people through many intersections. It is fully comprised of (and entirely run/operated by) all of these identities and feminist allies. All are welcome. Mission: To seek and promote gender balance in the arts industry by displaying dynamic diverse representation, increase visibility, and amplify underrepresented voices.
Celebrate the DECC’s newest venue Wednesday, June 10 4:00 – 6:00 pm East end of Harbor Drive (end closest to Blue Bridge) Featuring Mayor Roger Reinert, the Duluth Chamber, and DECC staff Come explore the new Waterfront Plaza The Waterfront Plaza (Harbor Drive) refresh has been completed. With its completion, we’ve added a new venue to the DECC portfolio of venues. We’re throwing a little party to celebrate! Mayor Roger Reinert will kick off the event with brief remarks. Followed by a ribbon-cutting with the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce and their ambassadors. Guests will then be encouraged to explore the Waterfront Plaza further to enjoy a charcuterie board curated by Ykre Acres, complimentary mocktails, and a DJ. A wedding setup, in partnership with Lundeen Productions, will be assembled on the Waterfront Plaza. The DECC will serve complimentary mocktails.
