Sammy’s Pizza (Downtown)
At Sammy’s Pizza, fresh, quality ingredients are combined with pizza-making artistry. The family tradition began nearly 70 years ago when Grandpa Sam Perrella gave birth to what is now Sammy’s Pizza. After World War II soldiers returned with tales of their favorite Italian food, it sparked the popularity of pizza in the U.S. Sam, a former miner who owned a small café in Keewatin, picked up on the trend, visiting with pizza makers in Chicago to create his recipe.
