Duluth’s Annual Events
Duluth is home to a fantastic lineup of annual events that draw visitors from across the region and beyond. Teen Open Studio (Fall 2026)
Explore your creativity in a laid-back atmosphere at the Duluth Public Library’s Teen Space. Bring your headphones and creative ideas — art supplies provided, but bringing your own is also welcome. Registration covers all 26 sessions, but attending every session is not necessary.
Acrylic Paint Class
Explore your creativity! Follow along with step-by-step instruction to paint your own piece of art – all materials are provided and no experience is necessary. Snacks and beverages are welcome. Class will be held at Northern Exposure Art in Enger Lofts Marketplace. To see the image we’ll be painting and to register, please visit northernexposureart.com.
Lake Superior Live Cruise ft. Abe Curran
Relax on Lake Superior with live local music by Abe Curran, great food, and unforgettable waterfront views. Lake Superior Live is Vista Fleet’s summer music series, combining a casual harbor cruise, live performances from some of the Twin Ports’ favorite musicians, and a BBQ-style dinner. Whether you’re looking for a unique date night, a fun evening with friends, or simply an excuse to get out on the water, this cruise offers a laid-back way to enjoy Duluth’s waterfront. Weather permitting, cruises travel through both the Duluth Canal and Superior Entry, offering incredible views of Lake Superior, working waterfront activity, and the Duluth skyline. Your ticket includes a casual BBQ dinner. Grab a drink from the bar, find your favorite seat, and enjoy an evening of live music as the sun begins to set over the harbor. UMD Women’s Hockey vs St. Thomas
Calling all members of Bulldog Country, it’s time to cheer on your team! Head down to AMSOIL Arena when St. Thomas comes to town for a heart-pounding ice battle. No matter your age, a Bulldog’s hockey game is always an enjoyable and exciting experience.
Whoopsa Daisy Farm
Come and explore the farm with your family. Jump in the corn pit, dig in the sandbox, or explore Dinoland and Fairyland. There are two playgrounds, yard games, a wagon ride through the Whimsical Woods and so much more. Feed the donkeys, goats, and chickens and walk through the berries. The farm is open to everyone Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, August 7 through October 25, 2026, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We will also open Thursday, October 15 for MEA weekend from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Tickets are sold at the entrance in the yellow building. The cost is $8.00 a person, and infants are free. Everything on the farm is included in the price. We are off Highway 53 in Duluth at 5399 Samuelson Road.
Junk Journaling with Denise Voie de Vie
Junk journaling (or art journaling) is accessible to everyone, fun, a great way to upcycle materials you already have, and a way to let go of preconceived notions of any artistic outcome. This class is all about the journey. These two sessions are designed to be taken either together or individually. Participants in the first session will create their own unique junk journal. In the second session, participants will explore color and materials via some art exercises, then use those results to start embellishing their junk journals. Everyone is welcome—no prior journaling or art experience is necessary, and creating with friends, family, and/or loved ones works great. Funded by the National Endowment for the Arts.
