Explore the  impressive collection of historic railroad equipment that built Minnesota and our country. The museum is located in downtown Duluth, in the platforms at yard of the original Historic Union Depot, built in 1892. From immaculately restored locomotives and rolling stock, to exciting events and exhibits that bring the memories railroads to life, in an effort to preserve, present, and interpret the history of railroading, especially as it relates to the area.

    Join 3 generations of Grambsch Family as they make Christmas Candy the old fashioned way, right here in Grambsch Candy Kitchen in the Lake Superior Railroad Museum, candy making demonstrations and hard candy samples will be available to try. The Candy Kitchen is a replica of the family’s original candy shop and part of the annual kickoff for the holidays for the family and the Duluth Depot. Lake Superior Railroad Admission required ($12/adults, $6/kids (3-13)) and members are free!

    On Tuesday, November 16th, at 5:30PM, the Lake Superior Railroad Museum we will be premiering the Documentary Film: "We Never Forgot Him:" USMC SGT James Joseph Hubert's Long Journey Home.  Marine Sergeant James Joseph Hubert was born in Duluth on August 12, 1921, to Mary Harriet (Arseneau) Hubert and Wallace Leon Hubert. Hubert was killed in the Battle of Tarawa in WWII on November 21, 1943. In this History In A Pint Series, the documentary film on James Joseph Hubert’s story and his repatriation home to Duluth the summer of 2017, will be premiered.
