Pages and Pines: Where Books & Nature Come Together
Jay Cooke State Park Jay Cooke Rd, Esko, MNJoin us during National Library Week for stories, fresh air, and nature fun! This free, all-ages event at Jay Cooke State Park brings books and the outdoors together. Meet your local libraries, explore stories inspired by nature, and discover how the park is full of stories waiting to be read. You can expect storytimes, story strolls, naturalist-led activities and programs, crafts and swag, and library card sign-ups onsite. This event is hosted by the Minnesota State Parks System in partnership with local public libraries.

Wildflower Hunt at Hemlock Ravine SNA
Jay Cooke State Park Jay Cooke Rd, Esko, MNJoin us as we search for ever fleeting spring ephemeral wildflowers at Hemlock Ravine SNA. Spring ephemerals bloom in that brief interval between the soil's warming and the leafing of the dense tree canopy, and then they are gone until next year! We will spend an hour on-site, so bring hiking shoes water, and your camera! Please email arika.mcgraw@state.mn.us with any questions. There are no maintained trails, public restrooms nor access to drinking water on this site.
